Residential Drafting Services was created in 1997 to fill a niche in the custom created home plan market.  Originally, started and operated in
Lincoln Nebraska, many of our plans are used in various parts of the Midwest and surrounding areas.

President and owner, Charles Gebbie started designing and drafting house plans to use for his own private clients. Charles has built many custom and speculative homes in Lincoln and surrounding areas. The general contracting process gave Charles real home building experience and it didn’t take long before designing homes took precedence over building them. The demand for quick, accurate and creative homes gave RDS 20+ builders in the first year alone and now has climb to over 40 contractors today. From complete sets of home plans or just a small addition, RDS will contribute to over 200 permits in a year of production. Of those plans, Charles will have been behind every one.

Charles has a BS degree in Management, and started a home building company in 1993. From trim carpentry, tile installation, sheet rock to framing, it all has been incorporated into the design of the plans. Experience from the inside has given Charles a huge advantage in creative design when form meets function. Using the latest version of AutoDesk ACA 2008 and powerful desktops, RDS has invested in the commitment of providing the finest home plans available.
